Basically, three functions are covered by the Engineering Department:

1.      Verify the feasibility and assess the difficulty of producing the circuit boards requested by the customers, on the basis of the documentation provided and according to corporate production limits.

2.      Organize, if the orders are accepted by the Sales Management, the entire production cycle, establishing what processing is required in the various departments as well as any outsourcing, and communicate all the information necessary so that the work is carried out as fast and as cost-effectively as possible.

3.      As regards circuit boards being manufactured for the first time, prepare all the equipment necessary for production of the circuit board (films, drilling and routing files, scoring diagrams.

The Engineering Department uses a Genesis 2000 CAM station which, under control of the operators, automatically engineers the projects submitted by the customers and sent to us via e-mail.

The data output from the station is routed to the various departments via the corporate LAN and thus arrives directly at the production machines without being manually handled by the operators.

The netlist is always checked to ensure that the customer data sent to production are exactly the same (from an electrical point of view) as the input data.
