Today, the majority of films for circuit boards layout are produced by means of a laser photoplotter which accepts the layout files as input (mainly in Gerber format) hence guaranteeing accuracy and flexibility.

We use an EIE RP304-NT photoplotter with a maximum resolution of 8000 dpi, which takes an average of 2 minutes to produce a film. The photoplotter is driven directly by a PC in the Engineering Department through a network connection.

All the films produced, before being used on the PCB, are tested with a Camtek Orion 602 optical tester. ICS can carry out photoplotting services on request.

We also have an efficient process for converting the films into Gerber files.
